Trump wants to expand the USA. Mainly for economic reasons, which is why he was after Greenland.

Now, with Greenland waning......his eyes are on Cuba.

Cuba has been a ghetto country since the era of Fidel Castro. We thought his son might take over and upgrade the country, but no......it's still a ghetto island. Aside from cigars, rum, and nickel.......they don't really have much else in exports. And even though the government has a billion dollar trade with other countries, they're still a ghetto country.

So, does Trump want Cuba because it is close by? Or because of the mineral rights? Or because it would piss off Mexico? Revenge for what Castro did in the 60s?

If Trump opens up trade with Cuba, thats one thing. But if he actually BUYS it.......thats another. Cuba becoming another state or territory of the USA.

Kind of makes sense now why Trump isn't doing much with all the Doge money collected from the past year. He's saving it for the purchase of Greenland or Cuba.........or both? Who would get the money if purchased?

Wrong. Trump is not interested in expanding the USA, he is interested in decreasing China's influence and control in our hemisphere. Further, he is interested in decreasing our dependence on China.

GREENLAND - strategic location, military advantage plus great mineral resources.
CANADA - right next door and China has been buying influence there.
CUBA - right off our shore and heavily influenced by China.
PANAMA - China was trying to take over this vital port that the USA built.
VENEZUELA - major corrupt oil exporter/supplier to China.
IRAN - major supplier of oil to China and buyer/seller of military gear, plus world sponsor of terrorism.

Well, no tears will be shed if the Cuban government falls. It has been on life support for years. However, I would expect that once it does and there is no replacement, there may be millions of Cubans who will jump on slapdashed boats and head to the US. What do they have to lose? It's been on life support for years because the US government has sanctioned the shit out of it and has committed numerous heinous acts of sabotage to overthrow the government. To say nothing of trying to murder Castro numerous times.

Yes, we know all this. Cuba has been in bad shape because of 70 years of USA sanctions to bring it down to kill it.
The USA / Trump is doing a bang-up job at taking over the world. Donald J. Trump is going for the whole enchilada. The only countries that can stop the USA are China and Russia. And neither are very competent at war, nor do they ever fight back at America. If the USA can topple and break up Russia and can destroy China by cutting off its crude oil suppliers; then the USA can enslave the world and own / control it all.

Now...on the homefront, things may not be so cheerful for the average Jane, Joe or zir. The gov is under the thumb of the billionaire oligarchs that are of the persuasion of reducing the surplus population of useless eaters. And even if not so, a capitalist gov that worships only profit won't provide much for the hordes of people supposedly being replaced by AI. In other words, there may be massive homelessness in a fend for yourselves America.

Time will tell how it all turns out. One day, China and Russia may figure out 'it is us or them' because there is no stopping the USA other than physically stopping it...permanently. Stopping the USA in a small way only allows it to regroup to return to try to destroy you again and again. Once nukes start being used and normalized, there is no telling what will happen. Sad that this is our world, but that's the score, bub.
