The problem with folks like you is you think that anyone who doesn't enjoy getting buggered by his boyfriend is a no talent Neanderthal with no musical sense or ability to create art. I've never been a bean counter. My skill has always been more artistic than anything, along with my ability to read and understand languages.
Maybe if you stopped being such a numbskull and always assuming false-stereotypes that the media conveniently provides to you, you'd understand that maybe some people who don't agree with you have logic and common-sense on their side.

Depends one who the artists are. If they spend most of their time getting high on drugs and living a life of excess and debauchery while their art is wholly dependent on Auto-Tune technology....then you're right.
Many of them are always unhappy and latch onto anything that makes them feel like they matter.
