Trump to Puerto Rico.....You already owe too much money

He has a good point.
They owe over a trillion dollars. Have defaulted. Half the pop is poor and they have like a 14% unemployment rate. Their economic future is bleak.
Not to mention, federal aid is unconstitutional.
Not to mention, Trump has done plenty for them. This fake news has been debunked 20 times since monday.
Go back to talking about Russia, dumbfuck

Its the equivalent of your neighbors house burning down to the ground and you walk up to the smoldering ashes and say.......What are you going to do about that $50 you owe me?
He said that while sending help. Stop being stupid.... LOL

Question: This is the second tweet about Puerto Rico where our President brought up debt. With Puerto Rican infrastructure destroyed and their economy in ruins, how does Trump expect them to pay back their debt?

Will Trump withhold aid because it is unlikely Puerto Rico can pay it back?

All he said is it has to be dealt with.

How?

Congress has refused to restructure their debt. Now, with their economy in a shambles and a recovery that may take a decade, where does Wall Street expect to get their money from?

There should be consequences for being fiscal irresponsible. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Both Texas and Florida were in much better shape to handle hurricane disasters because they have conservative governors and legislatures. Puerto Rico is an island of welfare queens, kind of like Illinois who also is near bankruptcy.

Where were the consequences when Trump declared bankruptcy six times and stiffed his creditors?
trump declared bankruptcy ?

Six times

I'm not excusing their legal debt. The main reason was "mismanagement" or in the colloquial; criminal activity. It happens here in the US all the time but in the case of Puerto Rico, it's affects were devastating. They don't owe that money to the US government, but to the wall street banking firms. To that extent, let the banks rots in hell.

Maybe he will ask them to do it this time. It's not like he's a beholden Fiscal Conservative.

And all your yammering about "wall street". Who's pension funds and 401's do you think invest in things like public debt, public debt like Puerto Rico's?

Yeah, some executive might lose his bonus, but defaults like this can ruin a person's retirement. But I guess it's worth if for you to score some cheap political points and "stick it to the man"

despite your spin, have you seen any sign of Trump withholding aid?

So far, you seem to be batting zero on this topic

My concern is...Why is our President repeatedly bringing up debt while discussing the tragedy in Puerto Rico?

You're concerned about a lot of strange things.

We had no problems in bailing out the banks when they made bad investments

But when Puerto Rico does it? Too bad Senor

Letting the banks fail would have destroyed our economy for decades.

It is not strange....It is callous for Trump to be bringing it up at this time

odd, people have been saying that for a couple of years..

Snopes says only 4

Donald Trump's Bankruptcies

out of 515 businesses.

That comes out to less than 1%.

not a bad average

And Puerto Rico?

What happens to 3.4 million Americans when they are unable to rebuild their economy?

It wouldn't destroy the rest of the economy, so you have to justify any bailout on humanitarian grounds, especially now.

Again, Trump just said it has to be dealt with.

Not curious response to it at all by a hack like yourself.

The left caught in another pure lie. Does not matter. You all see how the MSM works. They pass along a false story. Their minions like the OP listen to the lie and then pass it on to places like this. Like the Ferguson mike brown shit, it does not matter what the actual facts are.

They put out the narrative and that is what is being talked about in their echo chambers. They are all pure lies. All of it. They of course never call their special little liberals out on the carpet for their non response. Never would they do that. No one wonders what the UN is there to do, other than collapsing economies in order to build their globalist agenda? Tell us, what is the UN there to do?

Liberals owned again, but it makes no difference. What difference does it make, should be and actually is the new left wing battle cry?

A lot of its debt is owned by regular people who invested in bonds and what not. You know, people that retired and other seniors.
