What in the world (no pun intended) are these people so afraid of?So a family of four visiting Disney World has to pay an extra $1000
Makes sense, why should we have to pay for checking-out their papers, bags, and such. Let the tourist defray the cost to the American taxpayer.
Canada now charges roughly $100 for a visitor visa, the U.K. charges roughly $150 in U.S. dollars, about $94 in France. The USA is already charging $185 to other countries for a visitor visa and has been for some time. That was NOT a Trump invention as that price was set in 2023 by the Biden Administration and the $250 amount Trump is being accused of unilaterally charging was part of the BBB the Congress passed.Sounds good to me. They should use the pool of money to help fund deportations.

Tourists, international students and business travelers may be required to pay a $250 fee when visiting the United States on a non-immigrant visa.
The new provision applies solely to visitors from countries that require a non-immigrant visa for entry, as outlined in the “big, beautiful” spending bill signed by President Trump, according to the Envoy Global law firm.
No formal start date has been announced to begin the collection of the “visa integrity fee.”
Starting in 2026, the $250 price could increase to accommodate inflation, per the law firm.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be tasked with determining the final amount required for entry purposes.
Funny how that was left out of the OPSmart move...
So you can't overstay your Visa or you loose your refund..
Travelers may receive a refund by complying fully with visa rules—leaving on time, extending or changing visa status properly
Exemptions: Visa‑waiver visitors (e.g., UK, Japan, Germany, Australia), most Canadian/Bermudian citizens, and holders of diplomatic (A) or official (G) visas
Agreed. What we don’t want are people coming here and costing US taxpayers money using our resources. The countries they are coming from would be wise to undergo a fundamental transformation and be like US instead of a corrupt shit hole.incredibly stupid. We want people coming and spending their money.
But as one once said "stupid is as stupid does".

So we're looking at a $65 increase. Even patriots have put Congress under extreme pressure to reduce spending and eliminate the financial bleeding. Now it seems Congress and the President have to endure bitter criticism of every $ they eliminate from the budget and every new fee they impose to raise revenue.
So Trump is scum while the leftists and their surrogate propaganda machine known as the MSM/legacy media was pretty quiet when Biden Administration proposed something very similar:

Biden Administration Proposes Increasing Cost of Nonimmigrant Visas
The Biden Administration recently proposed a price increase for nearly all nonimmigrant visas. Government officials say the increase is necessary to fund immigration services, which are already stretched to their limit, but critics suggest it could be a financial barrier to noncitizens seeking...natlawreview.com
And $2,500 to leave.Trump to Mandate Tourists Pay $250 Each, to Enter America

I think that people applying for a visitor's, employment or student visa should have to post a large bond that could only be released to them at their Embassy or Consulate in their home country after their return. While that might hurt tourism a little, it would cut down on the overstaying of visas.Sounds good to me. They should use the pool of money to help fund deportations.

If someone can afford to come here to visit or go to school, they can afford to post a bond to insure they will go home.US needs tourist dollars
Right now Canada says
Europeans don’t want to come
Asia no longer flocks here
S America and Mexico are afraid of ICE
Not wise to chase people away who want to come here and spend money
lolAnd $2,500 to leave.![]()
I don't know if Trump was aware of it or commented on it since it wasn't widely advertised and he was not in government at that time. He was much more focused on Russia/Ukraine war and Israel I think. I honestly don't know.Thats the lib ***** slap of the day
Anti Trumpsters did not object when biden or his handlers did it
