Sounds good to me. They should use the pool of money to help fund deportations.

Tourists, international students and business travelers may be required to pay a $250 fee when visiting the United States on a non-immigrant visa.

The new provision applies solely to visitors from countries that require a non-immigrant visa for entry, as outlined in the “big, beautiful” spending bill signed by President Trump, according to the Envoy Global law firm.

No formal start date has been announced to begin the collection of the “visa integrity fee.”

Starting in 2026, the $250 price could increase to accommodate inflation, per the law firm.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be tasked with determining the final amount required for entry purposes.

US needs tourist dollars
Right now Canada says :fu:
Europeans don’t want to come
Asia no longer flocks here
S America and Mexico are afraid of ICE

Not wise to chase people away who want to come here and spend money

incredibly stupid. We want people coming and spending their money.

But as one once said "stupid is as stupid does".

I got blindsided by surprise unknown EXIT tax leaving Incheon Airport near Seoul. Have to have a credit card too I’m pretty sure. Cash people in trouble.

  • Canada: Canadian visitor bookings dropped by 40–70%. Flight bookings plunged, while land crossings declined ~23–32% in early 2025 .
  • Europe: Visitor numbers from European nations fell 15–30% overall (e.g. Germany down ~28%) .
  • Australia and New Zealand: Declines of 7–15%, though Australia showed a slight booking increase compared to last year before 2025 slowdown .

Why not make businessmen coming here pay $5000 per visit?

Who wants to go to Europe where they've let in tons of third worlders who are likely to rob, rape, or murder you?

Smart move...
So you can't overstay your Visa or you loose your refund..

Travelers may receive a refund by complying fully with visa rules—leaving on time, extending or changing visa status properly

Exemptions: Visa‑waiver visitors (e.g., UK, Japan, Germany, Australia), most Canadian/Bermudian citizens, and holders of diplomatic (A) or official (G) visas

If one wants to come here and do business then pay the fee. Seems fair. Except 250 is not nearly enough. The bigger the business deal the bigger the fee.

If an American has to pay to get into a National Park the why not foreign tourists entering our country?

In my AO:

The entrance fee for Shenandoah National Park is $30.00 for a single vehicle, which covers unlimited entry for seven consecutive days. This fee applies whether you are driving on Skyline Drive or hiking in from the boundary.

Shhhhh! This is a no brainer. If they have to pay to get in the US, they'll come to Canada for free!

Immigrants and tourists, welcome! We don't see different shades of skin.
