Blatant abuse of power right here in front of us and everyone is ignoring it.

trump is threatening to use his office in a punitive way against a state if they don't follow his personal desires.

Why is nobody talking about this?

Peters is among the only officials who have been convicted of crimes stemming from far-right plots to illegally reverse Trump’s loss to Joe Biden in 2020, using positions of power to amplify bogus claims of fraud and launch spurious investigations into voting machines and software.

"Why is nobody talking about this?" I'll take a guess @ it; maybe it's because pres. Trump's threat is already in motion???

The position of Commander in Chief takes priority , if and when circumstances are appropriate .
This is long overdue , if you feel aligned to Good and find vermin and corruption loathsome ,

De Crappy is as ever totally out of line .
The next few weeks --- October for the big act --- will make this matter seem almost incidental .

No! It does not! We are a Republic, and States govern themselves.

what was the conviction for? Which court? Which judge?

It is not a crime to question the results of an election. Not even if they call it "amplifying bogus claims of fraud."

He's only asking that she be released, not that she be pardoned or her convictions overturned.

Nine years is incredibly harsh for what she was convicted of. She was clearly being punished for being a Trump Supporter in a deep blue state.

But, if Colorado wants to FAFO, so be it.

Peters was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, one count of official misconduct and one count of failure to comply with the secretary of state, and sentenced to nine years of incarceration in October 2024 after she was accused of allowing an unauthorized person to enter a secure area of the Mesa County Elections Division in May 2021 to make copies of computer hard drives in search of election fraud, and misleading officials in the process.

It would be nice to read the record. From what I understand it is cause somebody dared accuse the democrats of what everyone knows as fact, democrats commited election fraud

I just posted the facts.

A jury of her peers convicted her based on the evidence.

You are just quoting news articles, you know nothing about the case other than the headline you are dictated to believe.
She broke the law.

She went to court and there they presented the facts which a jury relied on to convict her.

You're searching for excuses to justify her law breaking.

Nothing more than a political witch hunt. Nothing more.
