Trump threatens ‘harsh measures’ if convicted GOP election denier Tina Peters not freed

Strange, I visited Mapquest and it says "Gulf of Mexico" have you been snorting or anything?
Is Mapquest the only map?

Nevermind. It was just rhetorical:

Trump threatened harsh measures against Colorado, if it doesn't free convicted felon Tina Peters. What does USMB think? Should a President threaten a state unless it releases comsome convicted of a felony abusing her position to benefit that President?

That Hill article barely qualifies as journalism. It is crystal clear which side they're on. Why can't these people just report the FACTS without the left-wing opinion

The man Obama commuted was not convicted of blowing anything up. He was convicted of seditious conspiracy though, yet as you know pardoning seditionists is very popular these days so what's all the fuss about?
"
FALN first announced itself in 1974, when it took credit for five bombings in New York.

The group was responsible for dozens of bombings and incendiary attacks during the decade, according to law enforcement officials. The bombings were called terror attacks and resulted in at least five deaths and more than $3 million in property damage, according to a 1999 House report for the Committee on Government Reform.

In one attack for which the group claimed responsibility, a booby-trapped body was used to lure a NYPD officer into an abandoned building. The resultant explosion permanently disabled the officer."

He's asserting free her, or else the state will suffer.

as I said twice so far, to have the discussion about what a President should be able to do. I don't give a rip if she is innocent or guilty. I want to discuss what is appropriate for a President to do.

Trump is not the issue, jackass.

Jailing a whistleblower is the issue.

Hmmmm.
Peters, 68, was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public official; conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation; official misconduct; violation of duty; and failure to comply with an order of the Secretary of State.

Prosecutors reminded the jurors that Peters had surveillance cameras turned off in the secure tabulation room before she brought in a former pro surfer named Conan Hayes to copy information from the hard drives on that system. She used an encrypted messaging system with her small band of co-conspirators. She had some of those conspirators start using burner phones so their conversations could not be monitored by law enforcement. She bragged about having a “hidey hole” in her house where she placed a phone that was initially overlooked by law officers who searched her house.

So much for the former party of Law and Justice.
Screw Donny for his childish vindictive behavior in this matter. The president should have no control over state courts and the juries, made up of people living in the state.
That's what happens with Stalinists.

The people fight back.

If the charges are not federal then he has no power, however he can use his position to threaten. I am against it but presidents have used similar threats before. I think we need to rebalance the power of the three branches however neither side is going to rebalance power when they are in power.

Not according to Mapquest, they know a lot about maps too, a lot more than trump.

Here and there.

Haven't looked, don't care but they only get invited if they lick trump's boots so that's not my idea of a news reporter.
Who still uses Mapquest?? Google Maps is far better and up to date

I don't know the whole story but from what I have read it sounds like the democrat weaponization team arrested this lady and gave her a nine year sentence for trying to prove that the voting was rigged. She didn't actually do anything wrong. Why not let her investigate and find out what the results were?
