My takeaway is some folks at the decision making executive levels are gouging contract revenue for themselves and not reinvesting in their respective companies / industries.

Instead of billions of dollars going to executives or dividends, maybe use that money to update your industry and make stuff quicker.

It's sort of leftist on it's face but defense industries that depend on taxpayer dollars/.gov contracts should be held to more stringent standards.

So tired of the House and Senate kowtowing to Defense Contractors, Big Pharma, and Big Healthcare Insurance. They enrich themselves on Uncle Sam's tax dollars, great. The Defense Contractors provide a needed and valuable service. But if they decide to squeeze a few more dollars out by selling us products that cannot be relied upon to be the best in the world, then time for Uncle Sam to learn to say no.

I live next to the largest naval weaponry base in America, there are many-many-many government contractors here. 1000s of employees.
It has been a running joke here for decades about how little many of the contractors actually work. I know dozens and dozens of gov. contractors, they all laugh about how they spend their days.
Military waste is legendary. Everyone has known it for decades.
