Trump supporters: If Trump broke the law, should he be held legally accountable?

First president to be impeached twice. First president to attempt a coup d'état. First president to have his home searched by the FBI. First president to take the Fifth.

It's just so impressive.

You know how much he loves being "first".

First President to bury his ex-wife on a golf course

First president not to attend inauguration of the president

Teh impeachments were based on lies, and reflect not on Trump, but on your side.

Adn the coup? LOL!!! One small riot where the only person killed was one of the rioters.

First prez to lose the popular vote twice.

First prez to be fined for illegally skimming money out of his charitable foundation.

First prez to take the side of a foreign adversary in a dispute with our intel agencies.

First prez to be named a co-conspirator in an illegal campaign contribution scheme.

First prez to settle a lawsuit over a fraudulent real estate school.

Etc., etc., etc.

Impeachments based on egregious abuses of power for which his was acquitted by cowed Repubs, too afraid of the political consequences to make a decision based on the overwhelming evidence of guilt.

Russia was b.s. Everyone knew it was from the get go, and then it was proven to be bs. Mueller looked like an ass, when he had to admit he found, NOTHING.

Bullshit. Especially the first one -- soliciting a foreign national to boost his own campaign for president.

There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it...

Russia was b.s.
It has been asserted hundreds of times by occupants of Trumpworld........the collusion hoax. It comes up in all manner of contexts. Most recently as a way to dismiss the 1/6 committee's work. Let's see what the facts say.

Manafort conspired with Kilimnik to give the Kremlin internal polling data. US says Russia was given Trump campaign polling data in 2016
Polling data that could have been useful for Putin in targeting Americans with the social media campaign he used to help Don get elected.

Russian fake accounts showed posts to 126 million Facebook users
Executives from Facebook, Twitter and Google will all be appearing before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism on Tuesday.

Donnie J entered in to a conspiracy with Russians to obtain dirt on Hillary he was told was in the possession of the Russian government. Mueller Confirms: Don Jr. Was Too Stupid to Collude

Those two incidents alone prove a conspiracy.

There's this.. FBI documents reveal communication between Stone, Assange

Which coincides with this...Trump talked to Roger Stone about WikiLeaks, Rick Gates says in testimony contradicting the president

Hundreds of former prosecutors say Trump would have been indicted if he were not president

President Donald Trump would have been indicted for obstruction of justice in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation if he did not hold the nation's highest office, nearly 700 former federal prosecutors argued in an open letter published on Medium on Monday.

The ex-prosecutors — who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations dating back to President Dwight D. Eisenhower — said Attorney General William Barr's decision not to charge Trump with obstruction "runs counter to logic and our experience."

All of which creates, for Trump's minions, the same level of cognitive dissonance Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony has created. Shattering the duplicitous narrative right wing media has pushed from the beginning about the events surrounding 1/6.

It's why The Following will employ every tool for denial, deflection, and of course gratuitous insults (their stock and trade) in response to this thread.

Are you sure? It's very doubtful whether the next president will be decided in a fair election, even if it's decided at the ballot box. The DOJ is running scared and is now unable to hold to the rule of law in America now. Trump has committed crimes that should have put him in jail, if not executed for treason.
I've seen no proof of Trump committing any crimes of treason. All accusations were thoroughly cleared by the Mueller report that in 4 years found nothing. Actually, the earlier House and Senate (2 separate hearings) determined the same thing. All I've seen on this thread in the way of accusations has neither shown any proof of wrongdoing on the part of President Trump. And all this kicks in when he does something outstanding like send ships out to clean the Atlantic Ocean, sending ships to New York City harbor to stop Covid from killing seniors by taking the ill there, not to senior homes where the virus ended the lives of all in at least two of the homes the NYC Mayor Dumbo sent sick people to, and the majority of the others who received covid patients who had to leave hospitals but still weren't well enough to take care of themselves at home. Hundreds of peoples' beloved parents and grandparents who were healthy, caught covid from the covid entrants and they died.

If Dumbo the egoistic Mayor of NYC had sent the patients to the hospital ships provided by concerned Donald Trump, those parents, grandparents, and other patients, all those deaths could have been avoided. Did the Democrats know that by trying to one-up and humiliate Donald Trump who beat their astarte Hillary Clinton, many of those seniors would still be alive to advise their sons, daughters and grandchildren when asked to. A person with a parent in a nursing home still has the advantage of their love and their advice that some people value more than wealth.

An irrelevant diversion. He didn't need protection but even if he did, it's still a crime to solicit campaign assistance from a foreign national.

Your position being, that if Biden committed a crime, that revealing the crime would hurt his campaign and help Trump's?
