So it’s clear the President is suffering from Sundowning. That clip is the closest I've seen from an American journalist treating a senior politician to a British style political interview.

The subtext of her comments was "Stop prevaricating and answer the bloody questions".

It's really annoying and Trump is one of the few politicians who doesn't just let them do it. If she had just shut up and let Trump say what he wanted to say, he would have given her time to ask whatever question she wanted to use to cut him off. Trump loves to be asked questions, unlike Hiden' Biden.

It may have changed now as I no longer live in the UK but some years ago interviewers were quite trenchant in putting questions to obdurate politicians.

As long as you speak the truth there is no need to argue. Trump looked like his life depended on what lies he needed to retell again and again.

If someone gives an answer but won't stop running their mouth by piling on misinformation after misinformation, it's incumbent on the interviewer to push back. If a democrat did the same you'd want the interviewer to fact check them as well. What kind of interview allows the guest to just run their mouth? This isn't the Joe Rogan show.
