I have little sympathy or empathy for them. One of the basic principles of liberty is that those who do what they need to do in order to become legitimately/ethically prosperous should be able to benefit from what they do. Such people should not be penalized because they are able to afford more for themselves and their families.

Take the rich out of the equation and you have a much much poorer society with much more limited opportunity to become prosperous. Trump's economic policies do benefit the rich, but proportionately they benefit the poor and middle class much more.

The rich spend their money on products and services the less rich provide and/or the rich invest their money that helps other businesses/industries grow and/or saves their money that in turn provides a larger pool from which those who need it can borrow. Take away all that and you have far fewer options, jobs, good salaries, etc. that help the less rich become more rich.

The vast majority of millionaires in this country started out significantly less rich, but had the instinct, intuition, temperament for risk taking, work ethic, talent vision that enabled them to become rich.

The beauty of Trump style liberty in America is all have the same opportunity to do that even if some do not take full advantage of it.
