Trump solve problems that aren't problems.... again. The travel ban, again with no 9/11 countries on it, but has Bhutan

I appreciate that you are paying attention to things. Too many dumb fucks in this country do not pay enough attention (I'm assuming you are from 'this country', but same applies to the whole world). But I gave you a thumbs down. Why?

You attempt a valid thesis, but you missed a big issue: Terrorist organizations recruit people from wherever they can find them. Every country. These terrorist organizations are genuinely organized, and they have propaganda and recruiters.

They are not necessarily from any particular religion or country, although many are from the extreme Muslim branches.

The nationality of the perpetrators is not as important as where the terrorist organizations have headquarters. The only country on your suspicious list that raises my eyebrow is Lebanon. The others have good diplomatic relationships with the USA, and most likely would want to work with US to stop such violent criminals.

So, in short, that many of the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks are from countries not on the travel ban list is not surprising. Those countries have some free speech, and unfortunately, some of their citizens were sucked into the propaganda of the terrorist organizations.

So, terrorist organizations recruit from wherever.

The July 7th bombings in the UK, way back in like 2005, were committed by BRITISH CITIZENS.

Let's look at US terrorism in the 2020s.

First four are Americans.
Five is a British man, Faisal Akram, who was the only fatality.
Six is American
Seven was Taiwanese (at least born and raised)
The rest were American.

So, based on this who would you ban from going to the US?

It is evident to anyone with a third-grade education that the ban is based upon an ideology, not a participant list of 9/11.

Trump's first travel ban way back when seemed to be designed to stop terrorism. Everyone's heard of what happened on 9/11 when one Egyptian, one Lebanese, two UAE citizens (what's their adjective?) and 15 Saudis attacked the US with planes in one of the worst terrorist attacks on the US (probably the worst).

So, in the first travel ban Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen were on the list.

None of these countries had participants on 9/11.

In fact none of these countries ended up on the second, third or fourth versions of the travel ban

Now, Trump's got ANOTHER travel ban.

Guess which countries aren't on it?

Yep, Egypt, Lebanon, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

But it's got BHUTAN on the list. Yes, the threat from terrorism to the US from Bhutan is HUGE, but from Saudi Arabia it's none existent.

Does anybody understand this nonsense?

IIRC the first term ban was based on countries that had a piss-poor record with sharing information about the travelers' backgrounds.

So tailor a ban based on an attack that happened 15-20 years before?

Also, the Saudis in question wanted to OVERTHROW the Saudi government, and replace it with Bin Laden.

So, you think Trump is keeping the US safe by blocking countries who have done nothing, and by letting in people from those countries represented on 9/11?
Do you think 9/11 has been the only Muslim terrorist attack ever?

What an idiot.

Sorry but the countries on the list look appropriate. I agree I would add a whole slew more.

But now they need to do it right and not typical MAGA stupid. Follow the law and legal procedures.

I guess there's a reason you're on my ignore list. I do try and respond to all sensible posts when I make a thread, yours isn't, bye.
You seem unable to articulate why you think travel bans are bad.
Now you run away and hide behind the ignore feature.
Concession accepted.

Yup.

Who said it had anything to do directly with 9/11?

Like other terrorists don’t want to attack us?

Muslims in general shouldn’t be allowed on our country.

If you love being around Muslims, move to an Islamic nation.

I said based on what I wrote, not based on your nonsense partisan bullshit.
yeah, ok, you caught me. I thought it was funny.

I accept what you are saying looks pretty messed up. But we have to look past the color of the skin. Who are the leaders and organizers of your hypothetical band of terrorists? Where are they located?

I certainly don't blame the high school kids in my town for flying a BLM flag at the high school (still). Instead, I ask who the leaders of that organization are. Why is there a corporate/money-making symbol still flying next to the symbol of our country? I think everyone should get behind the American flag (I hope and pray). But the BLM flag? Not everyone agrees that people should be distinguished based on skin color.

What is the flag? It's a representation of power in the US. Why should people get behind the power when the power is clearly working AGAINST what the people actually want?

The BLM flag is something that's trying to change the power base in the US, which might be good, might not be good, but it's different and the US does need different to what exists.

Mostly different should be a better electoral system, which NOBODY is talking about, which is ridiculous.

When the far left and the far right agree on something, it is definitely an indicator.

I'm just saying I agree with what you said: "the power is clearly working AGAINST what the people actually want"

We disagree about the rest.

I have not studied Bhutan, but I know Saudi Arabia used to be an important US before obama and biden poisoned the well

What do you care?

America is not your country

When crazies on both sides agree on something, you know they're crazy.

Well, if you think the US can progress with the current electoral system, you're wrong. It was creaking in the 20th century, right now it's falling apart.

Still asking

How is that any of your business?

And the answer it that its not

Oh. Is that why every swinging Sl*t and D*ck wants to immigrate here? "creaking, falling apart, electoral system"? Is it 4 Million per year, or 6 million per year open border trekkers?

Go figure. I think we did everything we could to try to teach others about the Word. It is our mistake if we have failed to teach others how to fish. Maybe next time.

Right now, we have everything we need within our great continent. We ask for naught.

Terrorists can travel throughout all the countries in the ME, so one of the things about those countries is they are not good at verification, it makes them at high risk. I know you probably want to believe its a MUSLIM ban, but there's no such thing.
