Trump says the Kennedy Center will close in July for 2-year renovation project

Amid dwindling ticket sales and canceled performances, Trump announced on his social media platform that the Kennedy Center will close for two years for renovations. Antonia Hylton reports.

Now why would he do that to a left wing center for the arts? He says it's two years for renovation, translation, installation of gold toilets and gold leaf for the presidential box.

But, the real reason is that no artists will perform as long as Trump is in control with his name on the building. They are cancelling scheduled performances faster than Trump can say "I love Putin!"
I guess he could show "Melania" non stop, or get some country & western performers, but the long and short is that no one of any note wants to perform for a fascist dictator!

This one is a no brainier. Trump obviously resents that there is a Kennedy Center and not a "Trump Center." After his "renovations," translate, complete tearing down, rebuilding, adorning with gold toilets, seating, curtains, etc., he will rename it "The Trump Center for the Performing Arts."

Performances will have to be from artists who like him, most likely a full slate of Country & Western!
