The OP picture was in daylight while the event happened at night. The Great American State Fair kickoff on the National Mall was an evening event (speech around/after sunset on June 24, 2026). Daytime or early afternoon photos (like the wide grassy one you shared) captured the setup phase or early arrivals, when crowds were still building.
