I watched the crowd was put to me pretty far from the activities so it was difficult to get an estimate of crowd size.
And it did open on a work day so it may fill up on the weekend. The military parades an demonstrations the crowd was pushed back. The parade had people along the street it was an okay turnout. The air show part was pretty weak. Heres avideo of some of it.

Everybody stayed right until the end of my Speech because they loved hearing about a truly successful America."

WAPO is reporting that there were power outages throughout the night. The ferris wheel couldn't run until nearly closing time, and the ice cream melted. Food vendors had no power for cooking, and attendance was sparse, at best.
