It was Trump himself that said he wanted to accept Mchado’s prize. Up to the time that Machado offered her prize to Trump, Trump ignored her. Yes, Trump should listen to her but she should not have to give up her Nobel to help her people just to placate his hurt ego.

On Monday, Ms. Machado said on Fox News that presenting the prize to Mr. Trump would be a token of gratitude from the Venezuelan people for the removal of Mr. Maduro. She had previously dedicated the award to Mr. Trump.
