The Iranians owe Trump big time.

He is trying to give peace a chance, trying to ensure that the M.E doesn't become a tinderbox.

Will their leaders appreciate his efforts or will they force the world into a corner? Without China and Russia backing Iran I wonder if they would be so foolish.

President Donald Trump recently vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a U.S. official told Fox News on Sunday.

Details of the assassination attempt and when Trump vetoed it have yet to be confirmed.

"Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do we're not even talking about going after the political leadership," said one source, a senior U.S. administration official who spoke to Reuters.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to reports of the blocked plan in an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier on Sunday.

"There's so many false reports of conversations that never happened, and I'm not going to get into that," Netanyahu said.

"But I can tell you, I think that we do what we need to do, we'll do what we need to do. And I think the United States knows what is good for the United States," he added.

I hope President Trump advised the Israelis not to assassinate the Ayatollahs just so he can do it himself.

Iran owes America, and President Trump big time.

Now is the time for the nation to come together and get behind the President's efforts, so they can make Iran great again.

Khamenei in particular, needs to bend a knee to Trump for saving his life, else he would be burning in hell with his generals at this very moment.

Trump is calling all the shots.

The Mullah will fly into exile in France by midweek when Iran Surrenders

Only Trump can restrain Netanyahu, who was also pressured to stop Israel's air strikes against Iran. "It's time for a deal, and there will be a deal," he said. He suggested that he is seeking mediation, saying that "many calls and meetings" have been made toward a ceasefire. Things can get out of control pretty fast without Trump's mediation.

I would have loved to see the Ayatollah 86'd, but it could have turned into a major martyrdom situation.

1) might be a good cop bad cop routine
2) he might want to have the honors to take him out and claim himself the liberator

My guess is that America would much sooner drop a MOAB on their "secret" nuke site before they would green light taking out the supreme leader. Their regime may indeed be at risk of being usurped but its probably not the first move if U.S does get involved in a limited manner.
