I was writing this post right before the site went down. Thankfully my draft got saved because I didn't want to have to re-write all this!
I know I said I would participate in your new threads, but for this one I probably shouldn't have said that. lol Here's the thing. Because I see him in an entirely different way than you and most here...I don't even see it in a "pros and cons" type of way.
What MisterBeale wrote in our group chat the other day sums up the way I see it. When it comes to presidents or anyone in politics, for me the most important thing is authenticity and integrity. If those character traits aren't there, then in my view it doesn't really matter if they did one or two seemingly good things...because they would also be doing very bad things that undermine our country, our rights, liberty, privacy, etc.
I've shared my thoughts on Trump tons of times. So I wasn't planning to do this, but since you tagged me, I'll go through it again. (And you might be mad at me after reading this but you do seem open to hearing different POVs) I never got on the Trump train because I intuitively knew early on that he was not trustworthy. My view on him for years has been that he's controlled opposition. When you look at his actions instead of his words, he not only didn't drain the swamp, he refilled it and has been covering up for the worst possible people. Instead of "no new wars" he got us into yet another M.E war that could lead to WWIII. Instead of America-first, he has sent billions overseas and continued the same unconstitutional imperialistic neocon foreign policy based on lies as his predecessors...but it's even worse now, when it comes to aggressively taking over other countries based on false pretexts. He was not only the self-professed "Father of the vaccine" (which has been killing people) but he is fully on board with Big Pharma and on his second day in office introduced a new mRNA vaccine. He has brought more militarization of police, more unconstitutional mass surveillance and is preparing the way for digital ID.
There's a lot more I could say, but the bottom line is, in my view his role has been to appease conservatives and libertarians in regard to certain policies that they otherwise would strongly oppose, if a Democrat had presented the same policies. I believe that's the reason he was (s)elected.... because he's an amazing salesperson, who can make anything SOUND good. But in actuality, he is paving the way for what the technocrats and globalists have been planning for a very long time...the "Great Reset" aka the NWO.
I'll put on my flame suit now.
