Trump did not just make a passing comment. He continued to praise his "beautiful" english. He wanted to know where he was educated. He said that many Americans do not speak english as well as the President of Liberia did.
Liberia is a country in Africa. Trump calls Africa countries "shit holes". Trump showed his astonishment of a black man from one of the shit hole African countries could speak english so well.
