Even if it is deemed a "campaign contribution", there was no limit to what President Trump was allowed to contribute to his campaign.

At worst it was a "bean counting " mistake, committed by President Trump's legal advisor in the matter, Mike Cohen, whose duty it was to make sure that the alleged payoff was made from the correct account so it met the regulation.

But the crime isn't that Trump paid Daniels hush money. The crime is that he falsified business records and claimed it as a tax deduction. Trump took an illegal tax deduction on the payments he made to his mistress, because he's just that greedy and stupid.

And today, his CFO is being sentenced on perjury charges in connection with Trump's fraud trial conviction.
