When my daughter was an ROTC cadet in college, we were touring a museum at the Army War College in Pennsylvania on a trip to take my grandkids to their other grandparents. We were there on June 12th and they were holding the Army's birthday celebration on that Friday. The Commanding General asked all the civilians touring the museum to attend the event, so she got to participate in their celebration. She later served 7 years as an officer before being medically discharged.

Every year on Armed Forces Day, the City of Torrance, California has a military parade.

The problem isn't that we will have a military parade. The problem is that we don't have enough military parades and a parade on the nation's 250th birthday is completely appropriate. If we can have a parade to celebrate ass *******, we can have a parade to celebrate the greatest military the world has ever seen.
