It is hard to believe anything that comes out of the Trump White House, but if these blurbs about the felons are true, I'd call it 'Well Done'!

Reform is long overdue for those convicted of minor crimes. At present jobs are hard to get, credit is hard to get, and voting in their own interest is banned for those who have been jailed.

This is a good step.

Donald Trump Just Granted 5 Full Pardons. Check Out to Who.

Trump also commuted the sentence of Ted Suhl, an Arkansas man who was convicted in 2016 on four counts of bribery after prosecutors said he took part in a scheme to increase Medicaid payments to his company.

Suhl appealed the ruling, but it was upheld, and he intended to file for an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court. The White House noted his "spotless disciplinary record" while incarcerated and highlighted his support from former Gov. Mike Huckabee and former U.S. Attorney Bud Cummins.

Penelope, it is important to separate the sheep from the goats, so to speak, but lets support attention to reform of minor crimes and the real re-absorption back into society of those who paid in full for their bad behavior.
Admittedly I am influenced by a personal anecdote. I worked with a man who served time for theft in his youth. He was a good worker and his supervisor suggested him for a well earned promotion in the large corporation where we worked when it was discovered he had served time, but failed to note that on his app. So he was fired instead. Note that if he HAD listed his incarceration on his app, he would have been rejected at the gitgo. I see that as grossly unfair. He proved his worth and it meant nothing.
