Trump pardons ex-soldier convicted of killing Iraqi prisoner

So lessee: A soldier kills the enemy in the line of duty with the full support of the military up and down the ranks and some POS prosecutor sentences the man to 15 years? We need President Trump to arrest the prosecutor and sentence him to 15 years for conspiracy against the better interests of his own nation along with a fine of $250,000 to be paid by the prosecutor to the soldier's family for harm done!

He killed an unarmed prisoner, something we are taught in the first week of boot camp is a bad thing.
Apparently, not in MAGAland anymore.

~~~~~~
May I suggest you read a little history of WWI history in the Pacific and the war against the VietMinh/Vietcong.
And that negates their point how? And what was happening in WWI in the Pacific?
Hey Cult-meister, when your enemy has no rules of engagement, you better have ONLY ONE:
KILL THE BASTARDS any way you can.
I have no idea what your posting about other than destroying civilization and conventional wisdom.
If your convention wisdom involves sitting back and letting the enemy kill you while you punish your own for doing their jobs, then maybe we need a new, better wisdom to save civilization, because YOU AIN'T IT.
So you think it is ok for a soldier to just execute a man in cold blood.
No, but it is a soldier's job to neutralize the enemy, especially if you know he is a threat to you. And the facts have born that out, so stop right now with your attempts at strawman arguments. al Quada were the ones to declare war to the death against us. This guy was fighting for the people who killed 3000 Americans and brought down the WTC.
Why was Mansur stripped naked again?
He was humping sheep... His stripping was his own doing.
I guess you missed the part where the terrorist attacked him and tried to take his gun. Justified self defense if that happened on US soil, even more so in the field of battle.
Marion cannot help himself: Marion does NOT understand anything about the history of the Iran-Iraq War, he threatens former POTUS with hanging, and he plays a mean skin flute & he said he really enjoys the skin flute. The guy is a complete wreck but he really needs to get up to speed on the Iran-Iraq War history instead of being a Trump hooker.
Wow! You must be the funniest child in the fourth grade.
On the Field of Battle you are subject to a Summary Court Martial with execution by firing squad the top punishment. Mutiny is punished by hanging.
May 6, 2019 ~ By Samuel Chamberlain
President Trump has pardoned a former Army lieutenant who was convicted in 2009 of killing an Iraqi prisoner suspected of being an Al Qaeda terrorist, the White House announced Monday evening.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders cited "broad support" for Michael Behenna, of Edmond, Okla., "from the military, Oklahoma elected officials, and the public" -- including 37 generals and admirals, along with a former Pentagon inspector general -- as the reason for Trump's clemency grant. Sanders also said Behenna had been a "model prisoner" while serving his sentence.
"In light of these facts, Mr. Behenna is entirely deserving of this Grant of Executive Clemency," Sanders concluded.
This is excellent news. Too many of our soldiers were prosecuted under Obama's draconian rules of engagement.
Wimp Obama was anti-military.
Prove it. Obama was anti=-made up wars that killed 4600 soldiers based on lies.
How many Japanese were taken prisoner as compared to those killed? Marines and Army GI's took very few if any prisoners.
American soldiers in the Pacific often deliberately killed Japanese soldiers who had surrendered. According to Richard Aldrich, who has published a study of the diaries kept by United States and Australian soldiers, they sometimes massacred prisoners of war.
What does it matter if he was naked? A naked man can’t grab your gun and shoot you in the head?
Orders has nothing to do with it. The “prisoner”/terrorist attacked him and he defended himself.
Hey asshole, the Japanese often killed themselves before being taken prisoner. If they had a grenade, they would suicide bomb with it. The Japanese soldiers were told that US Marines and soldiers would torture them. It was also their Bushido culture that made them feel great shame if defeated in battle, it was more honorable to die fighting.
Behenna and another solider were ordered to return Mansur to his village. But they choose to instead stop and strip the man and "question" him some more. Besides Behenna there was the other solider and an interrupter. Both those two said that Behenna shot him as he was sitting there naked. The other solider was convicted of assault and making a false official statement, but was spared the murder charge in exchange for his testimony against Behenna.
Bottom line, had Behenna followed orders none of this would have happened.
"Unpremeditated murder in a combat zone"? And this nets a combat American Lieutenant 25 freaking years? I could list a thousand examples of unpremeditated murder in an urban zone in the U.S. netting less than ten years. Is it any wonder that we are at a stalemate in Afghanistan when a Soldier is facing a quarter of a century in prison if the political freaks determine that he pulled the trigger on an unarmed terrorist or someone who was later determined to be a civilian? Keep in mind that former democrat presidential candidate and senator John Kerry recommended himself for a Silver Star for chasing down and shooting an unarmed teenaged V.C. who had fired a rocket at his Fastboat. Imagine if they had this agenda during WW2.
Lying fuck. You love trashing vets like John Kerry & John McCain.
Defend the guy instead of calling me a lying fuck. Kerry murdered an unarmed V.C. kid and put himself in for a Silver Star.
So he was supposed to let the enemy escape & attack again? This is war. Kerry volunteered for dangerous duty while Littledick Donnie was at home nursing his bone spurs.
The man served. He was there. It was a shit war & a lot of bad things were done to local civilians. He reported on it.
Quit lying about him.
"Western Allied governments and senior military commanders directed that Japanese POWs be treated in accordance with relevant international conventions. In practice though, many Allied soldiers were unwilling to accept the surrender of Japanese troops because of atrocities committed by the Japanese as well as racist sentiments. A campaign launched in 1944 to encourage prisoner-taking was partially successful, and the number of prisoners taken increased significantly in the last year of the war."
"in many instances, Japanese soldiers who had surrendered were killed on the front line or while being taken to POW compounds.[31] The nature of jungle warfare also contributed to prisoners not being taken, as many battles were fought at close ranges where participants "often had no choice but to shoot first and ask questions later".[32]"
If he was a terrorist why was he being released?
So you humiliate, beat and murder an innocent man and you think he should have just gotten written up.
It is no wonder that so many folks in this country turned a blind eye and deaf ear when people who were citizens of this country were being brutalized and murdered. I guess if your skin isn't white then your life really doesn't matter.
