This should set your mind at ease. As a conservative this "Alabamian" who was wrongly imprisoned for activities on January 6th is not sure that, as a conservative, he wants tax money spent on this.
He may not know that this settlement fund was authorized by Congress to be managed by the Attorney General, not in 2026, but in 1961. I hope he takes the money. He seems like a very decent man, who would put it to good use.
PS: Is "Alabamian" really the right word? Sounds like something a stereotypical southerner in a Civil Warm movie would say. Is it not "Alabaman?" Asking because I don't know.
