The American military doesn't pull out and run away. It is made up of the most professional, honorable, and dedicated soldiers of any other military in the world. Every one of them is aware of the possible danger they could be put in, and is ready to fight and die if necessary. We didn't survive the Nazi's quest for worldwide domination and Imperialist Japan's doing the same, by running away and hiding. I wouldn't have a single compunction against putting my own life in jeopardy for the safety of this country, were I young enough to re-enlist in the United States Army. Even so, as a citizen I am more than prepared to defend this country to the last round, and then fix bayonets if need be and fight to the last drop of my own blood.
I didn't say run away. I said no soldier needs die in that shit hole. Get them out of harms way. Set up a naval blockade with enough nukes to vaporize the little dickhead. We don't need to puff our chest out. We just get out and nuke the little ****** if he attacks South Korea.
We can't wait for a southern expansion attempt. Plus, pulling out in this case will be seen as abandonment and capitulation. Any ROF must be coupled with an ultimatum that WILL be acted upon. It HAS to be viewed as a forewarning of massive engagement that will involve, at least, the use of tactical nuclear weapons.
If NK decides to attack, they would be foolish with current deployments. Removing forces by a nation that hasn't won a war since WWII, can only be seen as further deterioration of the west, us in particular. Their gambit is calling our bluff, so far they have been correct.
