Trump’s record is a serious impediment to his becoming a recidivist in 2024.

In his one term, he raised unemployment and bloated the national debt, failed to repeal ‘ObamaCare,’ and replace it with “something terrific that covers everybody!”, failed to redress the imbalance of trade with China, sucked up to fellow authoritarian weasels such as his “savvy genius” Vlady Putin, lost the GOP the House, Senate, and Presidency, and, as his grand finale, incited his goons to attack Congress after the American electorate, at their first opportunity, voted to dump him.

He is foundering in a cess pool of civil and criminal litigations.

Conservative mega-donors are refusing to bankroll his quixotic gambit.

Evangelicals are denouncing and renouncing him.

He is immersed in pissy diatribes against potential Republican rivals and critics.

His approval level with the American people stinks.

I thought NOT BEING JOE BIDEN was already a pretty good 'winning play' since multiple polls show 7 out of every 10 American believes Biden has the country heading in the wrong direction...and that was before his Chinese Spy Balloon disaster.

(Of course, EVERY 2024 candidate who is NOT Joe Biden already has that 'winning play' advantage.)

Trump not being Joe Biden merely consigns him to a pool of hundreds of millions of potential GOP nominees who are not Joe Biden.


It is his finally assuming leadership and championing Covid-19 vaccinations and booster shots that distinguishes him.

Hyper-partisan poopdoodle aside, the empirical reality is that Trump lost the popular vote by 2.9 million in 2016, lost by 7.1 million in 2020, lost the GOP the House, Senate, and Executive in a single term, and sabotaged 2022 in which Republicans had been confident of a Red Tide that the Loser turned into a stress-incontinence trickle. His goons' attacking the democratic process based upon his lying about the election and his multiple legal problems do not suggest he has been rehabilitated.

Will authoritarianism triumph in 2024? Not with the proven Loser.

Trump is the liberal gift that keeps on giving. Had it not been for Trump, the left wouldn't have taken the house in 2018 and the senate in 2020.
