Republican strategist Susan Del Percio pretty much nails it in this piece. A snip:

Paxton isn’t the only Texan willing to sink to new political lows. Recently, Republican state Rep. Kyle Biedermann announced that he will introduce legislation to allow Texas to secede from the nation. His reason? ā€œThe federal government is out of control and does not represent the values of Texans.ā€
There is no chance that Texas will secede from the United States. Just as with Paxton’s Supreme Court ploy, the law is not on Texas’ side. Secession is simply not legal, and Biedermann should know that.
But also like Paxton, Biedermann’s real goal may be more personal. Perhaps he is looking to raise his profile with a new speaker of the GOP-controlled Texas House of Representatives.

For the curious, here is Texas secession monkey Kyle Biedermann dressed up as "Gay Hitler"

If y'all really want another war secession is how you will achieve that. Uncle Sam will kill people before it lets large chunks of its land and power leave its control.

Can that be legitimately refuted? If not, case closed-

We're well aware of what Uncle Sham will do- you do know where Waco is, hopefully.

Yes it can. Trump supporters have no values because Trump himself has no values.
And 126 House Republicans in concert with corrupt Texas officials just proved it.

Texas is mostly barren wasteland anyway so no great loss.
