"Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Tuesday defended his call to ban Muslims from entering the United States, calling it a temporary measure in a time of war."
The classic 'we're at war' nonsense to 'justify' violating the Constitution, the rule of law, and the rights of individuals – Trump asks Americans to surrender their freedom in exchange for the illusion of 'security.'
when did Trump BAN muslims from entering the United States? My impression is that he wants to stop immigration of muslims to the United States TEMPORARILY.
Halting immigration of this or that group of people------in NO WAY violates the
constitution of the United States. The present "WAR ON TERRORISM" is just
as much a "war" as was the "cold war" that the USA waged with the Soviet Union.
That "war" did result in various restrictions on interaction with the soviet union. Why do you post up nonsensical lies?
The problem here is the dangerous rhetoric he's spouting. He's basically tell Americans to fear ALL MUSLIMS. Why? Murders in the US are far FAR higher than terrorists attacks in the US. Let's deal with that issue in a non-nonsensical way too.
I have never heard or read of Trump telling americans to "FEAR ALL MUSLIMS"----
---how long have you been hearing these voices-----do they tell you to DO
anything????
Maybe if you understood the impact of these things on people, then you'd see what is going on.
Bush did it too. He kept repeating the same thing, without actually saying it.
Ever heard of subliminal messages?
But hey, you just keep on believing that Trump isn't increasing the tension between the US and all Muslims. You keep pushing the US closer to being in danger.
Oh, right, the right wing will then do better because it can ratchet up the rhetoric and get more violence so they can be tough on violence and terrorism.
