You know this isn't his scene. Everyone is sticking around at least another day but Trump is already splitting. He likes to manage America to win and these leaders will just try and pressure him into positions he doesn't agree with. These world leaders need more tact and less "career politician" if they want to actually achieve anything with the U.S, that would be the way I would operate. They can't make true friendship with him as they don't connect personality-wise.
Apparently Trump agreed to try and come to a trade agreement with Canada within 30 days. It's going to be a tough deal to make so he probably isn't in any rush which puts Canada in a difficult position unfortunately.
Man, I need to get a job in the federal government as an advisor. I watched the interactions of these leaders and they just don't have the types of personalities that Americans appreciate. Trump can rub elbows with elites but they must have merit due to accomplishment and high performance.
There was never a positive vibe in any of the videos I saw with any of the leaders though PM Carney tried I guess. I get the impression that Trump was only there out of historic obligation.
I hope Canada didn't waste the opportunity because we have a mountain to climb right now.
The U.S. president will be taking off from the G7 a day early, wrote White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on X just before 7:30 p.m. ET. He’ll be leaving before major meetings on international issues, such as the Ukraine war, are set to take place.
"President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer," Leavitt wrote.
"But because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with heads of state."
