How is Trump saying that CBS, for example, shouldn’t be able to pass themselves off as a news organization if they are going to edit certain content to favor one party/person over another? That isn’t an attack on the first Amendment. What he is saying is they should provide the full context, without using an editorial license to spin. We all know that if he misspoke during an interview, they would focus solely on what he said that was incorrect or incoherent. In fact, they would purposely leave out any information that clarified any missteps. We have already seen this selective editing in action several times by the MSM. Trump is suggesting to air it all and let the people decide. That is exactly the opposite of condemning free speech. Remember, CBS is not the same as Facebook or X because they directly control the content.
