They gone get struck down?? What would constitute getting in Gods way? And how exactly would they be struck down? Are you talking about the rapture?
Getting in Gods way:
Disobedience, evil, wickedness, plotting and scheming to do others harm, walking in utter darkness of a lie... doing obedience unto Satan the Devil are some of the things that constitute getting in God's way.
Getting struck down:
As for getting struck down it has to do with whatever God deems fit. God knows the heart and deeds of mankind. A woman disobeyed God and she turned into a pillar of salt. Others disobeyed God. Others disobeyed God and they came down with leprosy. A man disobeyed God and touched the Ark of the Covenant and he died. We also have Adam, Cain, King David, Paul, etc... and the different things that God did to them to strike them down.
The Rapture?
No, it is not the same as the rapture. God striking someone down has to do with God's punishments, chastisements, his curses, plagues, vials, his opening and closing of doors, etc.. The rapture is a reward. It is a good thing. It is a blessings. Someone getting struck down due to disobedience is much different than the rapture.
God is a just:
“For God to be
just means that he is consistent, virtuous, innocent, and right.” Just” is an adjective describing a quality of God, like God is patient. If God is just, He
must punish every sin. He has to do it to maintain that quality of His character.
“He is the Rock, his work
is perfect: for all his ways
are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right
is he.” (Deut 32:4)
