You might have missed it, but the US admitted to using sonic weapons, and a handful of Venezuelan troops have described what happened when it was employed. Nausea and vomiting, including blood. They could not mount a defense. Directed energy, EMF type stuff, can be very effective.

Yes that is possible but still doesn't account for the response from the grass roots of Madyro supporters and the militia's, or lack of a response, they should have been marching on Caracas in their thousands and that would have flushed out the quislings who sold their own Country.
