We aren't fighting a war against Russia. If we were the war would have been over in a month with the Russian Army, Navy and Air force completely destroyed. The badly outnumbered Ukrainians were using US tactics and training with Soviet era gear and stopped the Russians cold, US forces with modern weapons and training would have obliterated the Russian forces.

I hope your assessment of our military capabilities is accurate, I have my doubts though.

Whether or not my assessment of OUR capabilities is correct, real-world events have shown that the Russian military is a third world one and their equipment is far below western standards. Russian logistics have always been horrible, and the Ukraine War has shown that they haven't made any improvements. The Russians have been reduced to fighting a WW 1 war in Ukraine supplemented by drones mostly designed and produced by our other enemies like China and Iran.
