I forgive you for not remembering or simply choosing to ignore. It doesn't matter what you or It believe. Obama was very successful in sending understand cumented immigrants back to their native countriies. He didn't quietly and efficiently. trump is doing neither. The fundamental goal.of ICE has always been to detain and process undocumented immigrants through the courts. One of the first things trump did was sabotage the courts. His actions against undocumented immigrants are overt ,sensationalized as a positive thing , shifting things away from.the courts ( the legal way to do it ) focusing on maximum detention , increased at-large arrests and reduced bond eligibility. Plus they are going after a much wider profile of individuals as well as shortening the time in custody., often deporting with no court involvement at all. Plus all the rapid hires, no training to speak of and decreased requirements to join the ranks create a less desirable. ,less professional force. They become judge. , jury and executioner all rolled into one. And to top it all off
Those 150,00 cost US taxpayers over $50,000.a piece
So it's no longer cost effective. Multiply that by Millions and it just doesn't compute anymore. Plus they've lost public support in the process.
