44 variables isn't a particularly honest way to represent it, though, now is it? How many different criteria comprise the basis of our analysis? How many of those metrics are solely the purview of the POTUS, and how many are influenced by potentially countless other authorities, events, and patterns of human nature? Sure, maybe not as complex a list as food, but if you don't see how the metaphor can stand, I don't know what to tell you, except that I can't help but notice you didn't attack the genres of music example.

The point is, it's an extremely complex question and I'm not sure why I should be apt to take someone's characterization of a consensus of experts as anything approaching gospel when it comes to an opinion on such a question.
