This is one of the dumbest fucking issues in modern legal history.

Trump has the authority to deport these folks under INA's Title 8. The judge acknowledges it on page 2 of this ruling. But Trump doesn't want to invoke INA under Title 8. He wants to invoke Title 50's Alien and Sedition Act. Why?

To expand his power. To invoke wartime powers outside of wartime. To legally designate illegal immigrants as an invading army of a hostile nation or government WITHOUT a declared war.

And the judge found, simply, that these individuals are due a judicial hearing to determine if Title 50 is applicable to them. That's it.
