Lots of study of the speech that liars use.
It's too lengthy to cover in full here, but in essence, innocent people deny false accusations very directly, as in "No, I did not do that."
Guilty people, on the other hand, often use different words. They reason they do this, is because it makes it easier to lie. Lying gives people an uncomfortable emotional response, so they use words like Jussie Smollett and Alex Murdoch....
"I would never do that."
"My mother would be disappointed in the son she raised."
"There is no evidence I did that."
"You can't prove that."
"I have no recollection of that."
"Oh my gosh, are you accusing me of..."
Innocent people quickly issue firm definitive denials of false accusations. They get angry about it and voice their anger about their accusers who are attempting to wrong them.
Guilty people tend to speak like this (just watch a few seconds of each timestamped video)...
