There's a crazy disconnect between the rhetoric of the right about Trump with regard to immigration and the last few days of the actual Trump campaign, which have consisted of him talking about how he wants more "legal" immigration and this bizarre pandering you'd expect from Jeb Bush. If the Harris campaign had someone up there speaking in Spanish there'd be heavy criticism coming from Trump's supporters.

Supporters of former President Donald Trump have reacted furiously to a recent announcement that he backs bringing 'a lot of' migrants into the country.

Trump, 78, made the remarks Thursday at a press conference in Bedminster, New Jersey, outside his Trump National Golf Club.

'Basically, we're going to drill, baby drill, get the energy prices down, almost immediately, we're going to close the border and get the bad ones out,' the Republican began. 'And we're gonna let a lot of people come in.'

More immigrants are needed, he said, 'because [the US] need more people - especially AI coming and all [these] different things.

'The farmers need, everybody needs,' the candidate further stated......

Trump is calling for an increase in migrants coming into the nation. On one hand, he says he is going to close the border then on the other he wants more "migrants." Notice Trump did not distinguish between illegal and legal migrants. He says he will get the "bad ones out." That is what are are doing now.

Trump's recent statements put into perspective his killing of the border bill. The border bill would have ended this illegal migration rush, but Trump apparently does not care to do anything over this "invasion" so long as it helps the agricultural industry or, you know, big golf courses and resorts that need cheap labor.

Trump made no distinction between legal and illegal immigrants. Trump says we need a lot more migrants. "MIgrants" is a broad term meaning both legal and illegal immigration.
