The law of uninteded consequences. If trump had good advisers they wuld have warned him how acting like a pig might play.
Now he has secured the race for Carney.
Lifes a bitch aint it.?

Sounds like what is happening is that the left parties' voter will align behind the liberal party. It isn't dissimilar to what has happened in Europe pre-Trump to make sure the radical right loses.

Not really.

Trump is being Trump.

But when progressives take over.....they take over the media and their elections.

As long as progressives/Marxist/Socialists are doing the counting, you're not going to get an accurate count.

not to mention the voters are being lied to on a massive scale.

Lied to by their corrupt media.

It's like here in Nashville, everyone thought the mayor was corrupt, so they go rid of her.
They replaced her with a Democrat who promptly went back on his promise not to raise taxes and raised them 30%.

I suppose. I personally prefer to be an anarchist voter by refusing to vote for the D's or the R's. I certainly won't choose between them as they are both evil here in America.

We have many choices over here. People are starting to vote tactically. At the last election my main objective was to get the tory out. The liberal was the best bet to do that and many of us voted lib.
Its not ideal. I would prefer some form of pr so that every vote counts.
I couldnt imagine a binary choice of more or less the same thing.
We have a local elecction here next week.Nobody is really interested but we have 8 candidates standing in my village. All the major parties and a local one callled Shropshire First. They are rebranded tories trying to sneak in.
Im leaning towards the Greens or Libs because neither of them have pissed me off........yet.

/---/ The election hasn't happened yet, Tommy. The 2025 Canadian federal election is scheduled for April 28, 2025. Just another dumb poll propping up the leftists.

I don't think any rational person could have predicted that Trump's childish dig at Trudeau would result in mass hysteria in Canada. He has been formally ambiguous on the Canadian election, but SURELY he would rather deal with the adult Poilievre rather than a Leftist clown. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I've heard that the electorate is regaining its senses and moving in a Conservative direction right now.

Mission accomplished Agent Trump.
You turned a 25 point conservative lead into a Lib government.
Give that man a cookie.
/—-/ If the Kanucks elect another left-wing PM after the disastrous Trudeau reign of terror, they’ll get what they deserve.

Im not canadian. Just happy.
Trump lost this election when he stuck his nose in canadian affairs.
The Canadien citizens lost. This makes it easier to do our business with them now. What Trudeau did to the truckers tell us that globalism is taking away freedoms. In our nation it is slower because the Constitution still has some relevance although it is tattered. Real ID and Global Entry is another step toward the tyranny. Now we can get Canada to let in millions of illegals and let them enjoy it. I would secure our Northern border at some point. If a province or two wants to leave their union, do it.

He didn't hand them anything. He gave them a boost but the reason they won was due to the NDP without question. Quebec also moved many seats from the BQ to Liberals. If Trudeau had not stepped down, the Conservatives would have won in a landslide. The Trudeau brand was toxic and time will tell if Carney follows his steps or more of a real economic leader as Paul Martin was.

Singh was on someones payroll as there was immense pressure for an election over a year ago but Singh wanted to get his full pension first according to some. He lost so many seats that NDP lost Official Party status and he immediately resigned. All very peculiar really and it will keep NDP in a bad place for a number of years.

Ultimately, Carney will either alter course of the Liberal Party or, they will open the door for a long run of Conservative governments. If he pushes "green solutions", he risks our economy and potential separation from Alberta. If he focuses on civil liberties, housing and economic opportunity, more of a Liberal like Paul Martin, he will succeed and keep a unified Canada.

This is a very trying time as America takes on China. We will either be on Americas side or Chinas.

Not only did the Liberal party sweep handily, the Conservative candidate literally lost his own seat.

And yes, Canadians are taking Trump's statements very seriously.
