The irony for Canada and Ontario is that if Trump loses the tariff decision tomorrow, he is going to jack up those tariffs which he still controls. This could mean a 25-50% of an increase to steel, aluminum and possible lumber.
Considering what the state does to people like me. Anyone here who wants America to succeed and respects Trumps policies for Americas benefit are squashed and they didn't need an excuse to destroy me, they do it with a smile on their smug faces.
There is always a bigger dog in the pound and Trump won't take losing a critical tariff decision lightly. I agree with him that it will definitely weaken Americas position and in particular Trumps ability to recoup jobs, revenue and better trading terms.
A day after announcing he terminated trade negotiations with America’s northern neighbor, President Donald Trump accused Canada of attempting to “illegally influence” the U.S. Supreme Court through a deceptive ad campaign about tariffs.
Knewz.com has learned that the president’s remarks, shared in a series of Truth Social posts, escalated tensions between the two countries as the Court prepares to hear a major case on the legality of Trump’s sweeping tariffs.
In his Truth Social post, Trump claimed Canada had “fraudulently used an advertisement” featuring the late President Ronald Reagan criticizing tariffs, a message the Reagan Foundation later confirmed was fabricated.
“The ad was for $75,000. They only did this to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court,” Trump wrote. “TARIFFS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ECONOMY, OF THE U.S.A. Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.”
