Trump fires thousands for "performance" without any evidence in error plagued firing frenzy.

Oh my GOODNESS.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS GOING TO OPERATE LIKE THE PRIVATE SECTOR?!

:aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh::aargh:

There are many provisional or probationary employees who have not hit the 6 month period OR WHATEVER THE TERM IS.

They can all be fired.

It is so weird the left insists these government employees are not allowed to be fired as some kind of evidence there is no fraud, waste, and corruption in the Federal Government.
I just wonder if even the probationary fed emps were told to “work at home.”

Maybe they were offered the choice and those that chose to come to work were terminated by the Biden bureaucrats shortly after.

Shrink that federal work force! :5_1_12024:
You’ve heard warnings for years about how a fiscal crisis was brewing in the United States because the debt is unsustainable — and financial markets would eventually protest. However, the logic was often vague and the risk hypothetical.

Guess what? The Trump administration has made obvious the real source of risk. It isn’t federal borrowing grinding ever higher. The true risk is our political leaders doing something wildly irresponsible that unnerves financial markets.

President Trump has brought budgetary chaos with extraordinary speed. In just his first week in office, his administration threatened to withhold payments of trillions of dollars of congressionally enacted spending. Days later, he appeared to reverse course. Then he allowed staff members of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, to gain access to critical Treasury payment systems, prompting the resignation of a senior official with decades of public service. New threats to withhold federal payments now come daily. At least one agency, the U.S. Agency for International Development, may no longer be operative.

Those who have spent years scanning the horizon for risks of a fiscal crisis should fix their sights on the president’s malpractice. When Mr. Trump asserts he can pick and choose which payments to make, regardless of laws enacted by Congress, it is not impossible to imagine the president declaring he can pick and choose which holders of United States Treasury securities should be paid.

There is a way to do things without being stupid, reckless, and irresponsible. The problem is being stupid, reckless, and irresponsible is how Dotard rolls.

Yea, you're not confused, you are just clueless.

Why are you bringing up Biden? Did he slash jobs in this agency?

Are you confused?
You said they were “understaffed already.”

Did you mean under Biden or did they quit en masse when Trump came in?

Answer the question.

There are methods of retaining new employees that are necessary.
But management has been uncaring by and large.
I guarantee you that Pam Bondi isn't firing anyone she needs for her litigation and up and coming criminal trials...especially ones involving elected officials.

Kash Patel is going to need his FBI agents working...researching the money flows.

ICE is in need of border agents.
FDA is in need of inspectors for food production facilities.

However DEI agents for Dept of Education are likely not necessary anymore. Or the Forest service

Answer the question.
Their budget was slashed and they were understaffed, did not have the money to match their needs, maybe you should look up how Congress voted in doing so.

I'll wait.

Sake of argument, I’ll stipulate that it was all the fault of those horrible Republicans!

So what vital functions were they unable to do because of those budget cuts?

EDIT

I looked it up after all. It was cut by 2.6% oh, I mean by those horrible Republicans!

Transportation Department workers with 'exceptional' reviews told they're fired for 'performance' issues

Letters went out to dozens of probationary employees in at least one section of the Department of Transportation that said part of the reason they were being fired was for poor performance, according to a copy of the letter obtained by NBC News.

But as a source familiar and a secondary document viewed by NBC News laid out, most of those employees were rated as being “exceptional” performers by their supervisors.

This means Orange Jezzzus has learned from experience after pushback by unions it's easier to fire competent staff if you just lie about their performance.

Folks, this is your President speaking, the more "mature" of the two:

Musk, whose U.S. DOGE Service is leading the drive to downsize government, over the weekend shared triumphant messages on X, the social media platform he owns. Close to 2 a.m. Monday, he reposted a picture of himself in a gladiator outfit and declared he was destroying “the woke mind virus.”

I'm not here to educate you, but I'll help get you started.

Your link just says that they cut jobs. Doesn’t say any vital functions were prevented by those cuts.

I guess they didn’t cut any of the “vital” fish and wildlife employees.

The exchange let me to check out their website and find out about their fish stocking program. But there’s no link for if I want to have my pond stocked up. Do you have to know someone to get fish from the federal government? Do you have to be a preferred minority, or something?

I want me some federal fish in my pond! I couldn’t invite guests over to fish in Lake Flops if all I had was a bunch of rootie poote state fish.
