So like we have always said… the Trump idea of “ending the war “ is handing Putin a victoryRubio cut off aid to Ukraine, which essentially ends the war for us.
Good for the Trump camp. We don’t need to be wasting hundreds of billions on this war.

It's too bad the world had to lose Ukraine but it would have never happened if Biden hadn't gotten out of Afghanistan so badly.Rubio cut off aid to Ukraine, which essentially ends the war for us.

If we've cut off military aid to Ukraine - which I do not favor - then...Rubio cut off aid to Ukraine, which essentially ends the war for us.

We now get to see whether the UK and France and Germany and Poland et al still "own a pair" and can soldier-on with this...
I hope they do...
And, with a recalcitrant Putin, there's a good chance that Trump will throw-up his hands in the coming weeks...
Once (if-and-when) he does that, it seems likely that he'd turn the American Arms Faucet back on again...
Meanwhile... the Ukrainians are still in decent shape with respect to supplies and the Euros may keep them propped up.

Is the inroads into Europe if Russia would win.

The fact is Russia is suspicious of everybody. Having another large NATO country on their southwest border was not all that much risk for them given that 14 NATO countries border on Russia. But with both Zelensky and Biden pushing for NATO to take on the Ukraine and knowing Biden was too weak to do much about it, Russia had an excuse and the opportunity to attack.
Shortly after Russia attacked, Zelensky asked for EU membership and has been awarded EU candidate status. Putin no doubt is not thrilled about the Ukraine becoming a EU country either. More the reason for Putin to continue to win this war.
By all metrics, Russia is the #1 most corrupt country in Europe and the Ukraine was/is #2. Zelensky came to power as a promised reformer, but the reform never happened. If it was not for the horrendous loss of life and all those bodies piling up, there is little reason to care who wins though there won't be a winner in all likelihood. (In the sense of justice though, we pull for the Ukraine because they were one ones attacked.)
I suspect there will probably be a cease fire within the 85 days of the pause in foreign funding and all this may be a moot point anyway. I certainly hope so.
