Trump did his job protecting the US from COVID-19. Look at the numbers not the bullshit

Do you agree that Trump stoppinjg flights from China kept the US infection rate as low as possible?

You have no idea of the extent of the problem because you havent been testing people. Trumps attempt to manage the markets has made things worse.

You keep repeating the same lie. But its still a lie.
Show me proof that anyone that was prescribed a test didn't have one. You can't.
The chart shows that early on the CDC did the testing but didn't have the capacity for COVID-19. That was non one's fault, COVID-19 was a very fast spreading virus. More testing capacity needed to be added and it was. Currently there is way more testing capacity than is needed so not only prescribed tests, but drive thru tests are available. The "hit rate" on COVID-19 is only about 1%, most of the sick being tested are colds and regular flu, not COVID-19.
Very little of this is true.

Wey has several months warning. The lack of available testing is due to inaction. Testing is being rationed and ordered tests are being collected but not run as it has tasked up to a week to process the new due to backlog. There is no over abundance of testing capacity. Our turnaround time has gone from 24 hours to over 72 hours. That’s a bigger deal than it seems since we are wasting supplies and capacitor to isolate cases far longer than necessary.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

And before you ask, this is all first hand knowledge.

1. I see your words but no links corroborating what you say. Got links?
2. There is CDC testing, hospital lab testing, private lab testing, and public health lab testing. The problems or non-problems are state by state.
3. There will be an abundance of testing capacity by Friday. Roche and Thermo-Fisher are bringing automated testing online this week.
4. I have no bubble, the plot of infections over the next two weeks will tell the tale of success or disaster.
5. Here are a few links to prove my points:

When someone is able to explain why countries all over the world were and are able to test for this pandemic disease for weeks while America stood impotent, and how it was and is not the fault of America's President without making lame excuses for him we can't move on. Until then we will continue to be divided and in a dysfunctional chaotic state of federal protection from the coronavirus diseases and dependent on Governor's.and legislatures for repairing the damage done by our incompetent President.

Ok, we'll see at the end of this week which countries are doing better than others. The US fixed the test capacity issue by approving Roche and Thermo-Fisher automated tests. That brings more than adequate testing capacity to the US. Your TDS won't allow you to thank Trump for keeping the US at one of the lowest infection rates based on population. You're welcome.

First hand experience.

We are rationing testing to only those who meet inpatient criteria. Those with a syndrome consistent with COVID-19 and are not needing to be admitted are not tested and sent home and told to self-quarantine for two weeks.

Your link says Thermo Fisher won't reach projected production numbers until April. Another of your links is about a Chinese billionaire donating supplies, including tests and masks. Even with the limited production numbers being projected for American made kits and the donated Chinese supplies, America will not have the testing abilities of Italy or S. Korea. We are being scammed into believing our ability for testing 5, 10 or even 20 million Americans in several weeks or a month is somehow good news for a nation or 320 million souls.

Your situation is only in one state. Many states have adequate testing capacity. But it depends on how many Quest, LabCorp, public health labs, and hospital and academic labs your state has. If you have to wait on the CDC lab, you will have a long wait.
1. Quest and LabCorp can do 1,000 and 1,500 tests per day respectively
2. The CDC sent out 75,000 test kits to public health labs
3. Private industry sent 1.1 million tests out to private and academic labs
4. The CDC can do about 3,000 tests per day

This week Roche and Thermo-Fisher should have their automated tests running. That should provide way more capacity than needed.

Your argument of inadequate test capacity isn't valid anymore:
You only need to test patients with symptoms, not everyone.

From the Thermo-Fisher article:
...Thermo-Fisher will bring, 1.4 million tests on board next week and 5 million within a month.”
Another diagnostic test, made by Roche, was approved Friday morning. Roche said it could manufacture 400,000 tests a week.

The other lab test capacity is still available:
1. Quest and LabCorp can do 1,000 and 1,500 tests per day respectively
2. The CDC sent out 75,000 test kits to public health labs
3. Private industry sent 1.1 million tests sent out to private and academic labs

No, Trump did not do his job protecting us from COVID-19.

And don't forget that he fired the Pandemic Response Team in 2018.
And given the Obama administration's record of deadly screw-ups, it's probably a good thing that Trump fired Obama administration's unnecessary "Pandemic czar".

Look at what happened when the Obama administration created a bureaucracy to administer universal Electronic Health Records in America. Sure it would have been a good thing if it worked. But the Obama administration failed and wasted over $30 billion on a system that failed to perform and was a huge burden on health care providers. Because of the Obama administration's epic incompetence and stupidity, the EHR system was made from a ridiculous hodgepodge of proprietary apps that were not interoperable and therefore could not communicate with each other.

If you add the number of infections for the EU countries and compare that to the US, the EU has about 15x more infections than the US for similar populations. That is because Trump stopped the flights from China as soon as he learned about the potential pandemic. Trump did his job. Now the healthcare professionals in government need to do theirs.

Not exactly. COVID-19 has been happening since December. The next 2 or 3 weeks will be crucial to see how bad the infection hits the US.
The infections will have a bell curve, so its a matter of keeping the bell curve as flat as possible with a low peak so we don't run out of hospital beds.

My bad... I should have qualified my post, I meant it has only just begun here in the U.S., relatively speaking. Hopefully, we get a handle on it.

This is not going well. The country is shutting down. It's gonna be a big recession. Trump already had us at trillion dollar deficits. We should have been prepared with tests, we weren't.
Europe had all the tests.........yet they became the Epicenter of this.......and then they helped send it here......The Virus doesn't give a damn about the tests..........It's gonna get you anyway......these things are exponential.......always.........and eventually YOU CAN'T BEAT THE MATH.......You can only try to minimize the damage...

Test kits are pouring out now....as we get hit just like Europe did..........Once it's exponential........it's gonna grow.........it's up to people now to be more careful to see how high this thing goes..

The number of your cases is so low because you haven't tested anywhere near the number of people suspected of having the virus, and because it's just getting started. The USA is where China was at in early December, except in China, the epidemic was more localized. In the USA, where the population is more mobile, the virus has quickly spread throughout the country.

Trump didn't ban travel from China until February 4th, and by then it was too late. The virus was already loose in the USA. But what the ban did do, was to give the appearance of doing something, and then Trump ignored the whole thing for another 3 weeks.

One has to wonder if Trump has deliberately botched getting the tests out because he's trying to keep the numbers low. He sure doesn't want to see those numbers going up and if you can't test, you can't confirm.

1. By the end of this week with the use of automatic testing from Roche and Thermo-Fisher the US will be current with all testing needs. We'll see how much the US was behind in testing, if at all. I couldn't find where there was a significant shortage of tests.

2. The virus spread worldwide from China. The EU has about 15x more cases than the US comparing similar sized populations. That has to be because Trump stopped the flights from China. Possibly combined with more travelers to the EU than to the US before the flight bans. Or, maybe the EU population is more densely populated than the US?

3. Trump has nothing to do with the lab tests, those are managed by the CDC and FDA. You know "career professionals".

4. There is no advantage to hiding the number of infections. This infection will go on for months.

5. These discussions will be resolved when the virus numbers are plotted over the next 2-3 weeks and we see what the actual bell curves look like. Will the curves be flatter and not overwhelm the hospitals, or will the virus explode and create a real healthcare mess? We'll find out which countries did well and which were messes.

6. Just saying that right now the numbers look like Trump did just fine to keep the US from leading the pack in infections. If he finishes the race in first place remains to be seen. Don't look at the number of cases, look at the right column based on population. Or combine the EU country numbers.

Your umpteenth post of the same chart doesn't make it any less invalid. You have no numbers on the number of people tested. But that's been pointed out to you multiple times. Sorry, it won't change the reality that Trump not only fumbled the ball, but ran smack into the center's ass while proclaiming that his execution was beautiful.

Bottom line, weeks of the Donald handling this outbreak like a campaign speech, the chickens have finally come home to roost. He's largely been sidelined..and it's about time.
TDS infection is growing..............the travel ban bought us time.........but you have another disease......only cure I've heard for it is holding you head under water for 6 minutes......Have you tried that yet...........
