His campaign took advantage of the anniversary of troop loss in Afghanistan by organizing a photo op at Arlington Cemetary with the lost soldier's families. Make no mistake. His PR people thought up and organized that ceremony specifically for publicity. There is nothing that self-promoting narcissist won't do for publicity.

As the media continue to dissect every angle of former President Donald Trump’s appearance at Arlington National Cemetery earlier this week, NBC News interviewed Gold Star mom Kelly Barnett Hoover about her decision to invite Trump.
Hoover’s son, Marine Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover was killed during a suicide bombing on Aug. 21, 2021, in Kabul, Afghanistan.


Commentary:
Showing respect for those 13 that died at Abbey Gate is smething any red blooded American would especially when requested by the family of those that gave their lives.
I noted that Trump took tome from his campaign to do the honors requested.
Surely that was unlike the president who was sunning himself on the beach and the Vice president making a fool of herself at CNN, while ignoring the day.
Obviously both the president and VP prefer to forget that day which caused the lives of 13 and wounded 12 Americans...That includes the estimated 185 dead, wounded and maimed Afghans with blue passports trying to get out.
