Trump demands CBS be stripped of licence over edited Harris interview

The US actually has more oil than Saudi Arabia. Why should we be dependent on them?
Because we aren't, evidently, we all depend on each other and have for a while.
The US decided to end the ban on oil exports.

Oct 9, 2015 — The White House called the bill unnecessary and argued that a decision on whether to end the ban should be made by the Commerce secretary.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defying a White House veto threat, the Republican-controlled House on Friday approved a bill to lift a 40-year-old U.S. ban on crude oil exports. Supporters argued that an ongoing boom in oil and gas drilling has made the 1970s-era restrictions obsolete.

As for needing to drill? You don't grasp that there is typically a delay of years between when a permit to drill is issued and when oil is actually being produced? Not drilling here will DEFINITELY make us dependent on others!
WTF?
The oil companies are producing enough oil to their satisfaction.

I could care less if the oil companies are satisfied. I want America to be energy independent so that we don't have to go hat in hand to the Saudis because we need their help. Do you remember how well that worked when Joe Biden asked them to increase production?

So, who is going to FORCE them to produce more oil?

I agree with that but the US is in the world market.
The export/import agreement we have with the rest of the world, will likely never be public.

You don't have to force the oil and natural gas industry to drill, Nuthin. It's what they do. That oil and natural gas is there for the taking. It's just a question of whether we have a Federal Government that encourages that or does everything that it can to hinder it because of a Green Energy fixation.

All oil is sold on the global market. There is no "American" oil, there is only oil that was taken out of the ground in America by multinational companies.
We have control over oil that is taken out of the ground in America. We have none over oil that is produced elsewhere. Having control over a commodity that is that important to the economy of your country is just common sense.

/——-/ So why frame what Trump did in a negative light if you know why he did it?

I thought low gas prices were a good thing, when did that change?

But, I framed it neither as good or bad, as it was neither.

But, if you are SA and you are threatened by a country into reducing your oil production, why the fuck would you increase it when they come back less than 2 years later asking you to undo what they forced you to do?

We have control over oil that is taken out of the ground in America.

Who is this "we" you speak of?

You do realize that not all oil is the same, right? One of the reasons we import oil, and always will, is that not all oil is the same.

You know the feds only control 10% of land oil companies have permits for.
The other 90% of the land is private and state owned.

Hinder?
Biden didn't stop Trump's dream of drilling in ANWR.

ANWR is one of the urban myths the MAGA cult always falls for.

In all the years it has been open, only one well was ever drilled there.

By who?
I didn't even think there was even one.

The explorers, BP, Chevron and two Alaska Native corporations — subsurface landowner Arctic Slope Regional Corp. and village corporation Kaktovik Inupiat Corp.— have kept the data hidden, with only a small number of people aware of what the drillers found.

I would bet my house that CBS edits every single 60 minute interview. As does every other new site out there for their shows.
Yeah but this was a whole new level of editing. They supposedly took answers from questions and moved them around to make them to be answers to other questions.

They edited the interview to give people a completely different view of the conversation than what really happened.

Is there proof of that for the WHOLE interview as you claim?
