So Day One goes to the heart of the GOP Contention that the Impeachment Trial Is About Republicans wasting everyone's time(?). Senator Cassidy possibly created the change of potential outcome, given the First-Day mostly pretense at any possible Trumped-Up defense. The matter can turn to the events since November 3: Concluding with the Trumped-Up conspiratorial adventure to the Storming Troopers, Jan 6.

So Minority Leader McConnell went further already: February 10. Majority rule includes the final resolution of the Constitutionality of the Trial. Mostly, any Republicans of the unconstitutional contention would have to return to the Ellipse, Run some videos, March to the Capitol, and kill some people(?). The caucus would be regarded a lot different, now(?)!

Senator McConnell may be lobbying for a return to normal caucus behavior: Regarding the outcome of the trial. Senators can vote their conscience, and he himself personally is of the Cassidy contention of the Open Mind.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Noting that Matt 25: 14-30 is normal behavior as usual--never contended otherwise! "Lives Don't Matter!")

TroglocratsRdumb misspelled "Republican," clearly. A Michigan Senator already called Jan 6 events a "Hoax," for example. An apology followed.
The Republicans in the U. S. Senate still have to explain if they have changed their own caucus rules, per the below(?):

There is history being entered into the Congressional Record, even now. Lots of advertising, going forward, can be expected: even(?).
