The MAGA and the rest of us conservatives have actually stated that the virus is a danger to a very specific and known group of people. For the amount of money spent -- in the trillions now -- those who were at the most risk from this virus could have been isolated in absolute luxury in sterile facilities or have their homes turned into such facilities.

Who it is not a big deal for is people under 60, who are in good health. The entire range of people under 60, from newborn to 60. For those people, it ranges from a severe flu-like episode to a mild sniffle; or no symptoms at all.

The proper public health response to this would have been to isolate (stay-at-home orders) those who were at risk and let the rest of the country continue on as before. However, since the entire health policy on covid has been mismanaged by Fauci from early 2020, we have to deal with this kind of nonsense.

So, no. You don't understand what is being discussed.
