How is it good for China to purchase and own American farmland? Imagine being an American student and being rejected from a top university because of foreign students from a hostile nation getting the spot.

Looking at those bad ideas strictly economically they grow the US economy.
Selling farmland at inflated prices gives farmers or corporations cash to spend.
Letting in 500,000 college students at high tuition gives colleges cash to spend
Getting China to spend $1,000,000,000,000 on new factories is CAPEX spending adding to the US GDP.

BUT, what he needs to know is that the Trojan Horse strategy works to China's advantage, not for the US.

"Losing the base" to me means not sending money to the GOP, and to the senate and House candidates I support.

"Losing the base" means that if democrats win the House but not the senate its a "split-government" so nothing bad should happen. It would behoove Trump to keep his base happy and energized.
