All over Portland there are generators running. They are powering tall 30-40 foot towers with blue police lights on top, filming all the criminals and insurrection. Once beautiful Portland, multiple times voted the best city in the USA. Now after a couple of decades of Dem rul with an iron fist looks more like a concentration camp with guard towers.Clearly you don't.

I agree, Portland is in the crapper---SF North. I visited Portland the first time in 1970 and it was a beautiful place. I returned again ten years later and the CA influence was everywhere. I wouldn't set foot there today---Seattle or SF either.

I have lived nearby all my life, as did 5 generations of my ancestors. The amount of destruction Democrat invaders from California have brought to the area is mind boggling. And their rotted flesh is spreading out in all directions from Portland and Seattle. If you drive up into the pristine wilderness in the middle of the national forests, you will now find their trash and graffiti everywhere. Every scenic outlook crafted by nature, defaced. These Dems are shit and piss!

The goal of the insurrectionists is to stop the lawful functioning of law enforcement and protect the criminals. The national guard is there to protect law enforcement as they go about their functions.

Biden's TDS obsessed DOJ brought over 3,000 charges as a result of that day, and not a single one for insurrection.

I Don't know, on this one, Meister. You know, I have been Guard, and probably aware, trained in civil disturbance and been part of a state civil disturbance mission. I have said before, Mayors of cities (often Democrat run cities) in violent protest have failed to request National Guard support from their Governors, and Democrat Governors in those states have been remiss in not sending in their National Guard units, to quell violent protest, establish curfew, enforce curfew and re-establish the peace. From what I am seeing, Portland and the State of Oregon, are another example, again.
The Guard gets training in this mission. It is for a purpose, not to do law enforcement, but to put enough troops, organization, and equipment on the streets to take charge, by people trained in riot control formations and equipped properly. Trump, is talking 200 Guardsmen. 200 isn't jacksh#t in a city with population of 643,000 people, especially if it actually is the American home of Antifa. When I was sent, I was part of 1,500 troops, who immediately secured and protected all Fed, State, and City official Buildings, we backed up state police, with not only troops, but responded with weapons and ammo in large numbers. Nobody trusted, what we might do, and they were probably right, but it made the mission easier, and we did maintain tight control over that city, while we were needed.
I do not like Federal Troops in the streets of American cities, and yes, if on Federal Orders, they are Federal troop, with US Army, right on their uniform). But, if actually needed to protect Federal, state and city property and regain control and re-establish peace, I can see it. It is better than the video I just watched of Portland police being forced back by protestors, with the police, not having sufficient numbers and tactics to effectively handle the protestors. The Governor should have already had her National Guard Adjutant General putting the necessary troops on the ground to protect, defend and maintain order. Governor blew it, again, playing the national politic card, when should have been maintaining order, peace and security of the City of Portland.
I guess you now know, where I draw the line. Homey, don't play that.

Paul Ivery allegedly threatened and assaulted a U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) officer outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility near Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, according to court documents.
The documents, shared by Fox News, alleged Ivery yelled, “I’ll [expletive] kill you right now,” and “do something,” to the officers. He allegedly fled the scene and “forcibly pulled a pursuing USBP agent’s helmet” to resist detention, according to documents.
