Yeah, it was the Trump endorsement two days before the election that did it, not the tape of the other guy laughing about passing that he knew was a bad bill for the public just for his own political gain...that had nothing to do with the outcome.

He waited till just a couple days before the primary to make his "endorsement" so that he would know which one had the lead and was mostly likely going to win. That is like betting on a baseball game in the top of the 9th inning.
